January 2009Posted on Saturday, January 10 2009 by Pat in category General January 2009, we have had some harsh frosts, but today the sun is shining and the views with trees, bushes and fields covered in sparkling frost look fabulous. There is so much to see and do here the weather in Derbyshire will not affect your enjoyment in our beautiful Derbyshire Self Catering Cottages. It wont be long until the grounds are covered with Snowdrops, the first signs of flowers, followed by the daffodils the blue bells then the heather covered moorlands and rhodedendrons. A myriad of colour throughout the year for visitors to enjoy. February, our 3rd day of snow and the scenery is a beautiful blanket of white and more promised tonight. Our vistors managed to leave on the morning the snow arrived and hopefully got home safely. The snowdops are poking through the ground and will be a picture in full bloom. We will be getting the greenhouse planted shortly, flowers for our visitors to enjoy and fresh vegetables for you to try. Want to comment on this blog?
